Bringing together the knowledge and talents of members of fire brigades, rescue services and other aid organisations. To transport knowledge and provide rapid assistance abroad in an independent organisation.

This is what @fire has stood for for over seven years now.

In the field of vegetation firefighting, international experience has been reflected and communicated in the company’s own training since the very beginning. Our knowledge is also passed on to municipal fire brigades. In this context, @fire’s numerous seminars and trainings are just as popular as specialist lectures and published literature. The subject area around fires in vegetation is huge and we were able to realise many of our goals. But there is still a lot of work waiting for us.

In the field of earthquake rescue, an important stage was reached in 2009. After five years of preparation, the necessary conditions were in place to report the @fire USAR component operational as planned on 31 December 2009. The road there was rocky and anything but easy

A long breath and perseverance were needed to bring the necessary equipment and training to the desired level. However, we do not want to take this achievement as an opportunity to rest on our laurels. Because our goal is not to maintain the current status, but to continue to improve steadily. In particular, we want to focus more on the medical component in the coming period.

In order to be able to carry out the many tasks at @fire, we invest a large part of our free time. To ensure the maximum quality of our actions, every single member is required. Despite the high workload and the decentralised structure of our aid organisation, I am particularly pleased that we are still able to carry out all the work at @fire on a purely voluntary basis.

This is a sign of the high level of commitment of our members. This, coupled with the rapid, positive developments in our organisation, makes me very optimistic about the future.
We are on the right track.
